• Each Structure is further divided into four phases: Preliminal, Liminal, Postliminal, and Crisis.
  • Liminal and Postliminal phases each have a masculine and feminine variant, which is not strongly linked to the gender of the individual.
  • Preliminal phases are all very scattered/wild/manic, with very low points.
    • They don’t find it easy to follow any one train of thought or action for too long, jumping from thing to thing. Like dancing on hot coals, trying to avoid their symptom when they still haven’t developed their defense mechanism much yet.
  • Masculine liminal variants are tense in some way, gruff, kind of want to be left alone. Tend to like diagnoses and remedies, specific terms to describe things, healing objects.
    • Tend to use swear words more than average.
  • Feminine liminal variants are charming in a passive way; easygoing, relaxed, unassuming.
    • Imagine a chill, friendly surfer dude
  • Masculine postliminal variants are generally more “controlling”. Earnest.
    • Often looked down upon.
  • Feminine postliminal variants are generally more “tricky” or manipulative, suspicious, flattering, flirtatious, friendly, or charming in an active way.
    • Often receive a lot of attention and appreciation.
  • Crisis phase is probably the most confident, self-assured, “cool”, helpful, useful, also the most “troubled” you could say. Like not in the sense that they experience the most suffering or pain or anything, but more that they’re lost in thought and trying to figure something out, longer pauses.
